Navigate the Flow Designer

Once your Flow entry is created, the Flow Designer is displayed. The initial "Start" node is created by default, so you can begin creating the Flow from it. Start Node

The Flow Designer includes the following elements:

  1. The top toolbar,
  2. The Canvas, containing the default start node and any nodes you might add later,
  3. The Nodes Panel, containing nodes grouped in categories,
  4. The Index Panel, containing all the nodes,
  5. The Mini Map. Flow Designer Elements

The Toolbar

The toolbar provides access to the following:

  • A Close Flow button that lets you exit the designer and go back to the Flows page.

  • The Flow Name is assigned while creating the flow.

  • The ˅ dropdown menu beside the flow name displays the time when the flows were created. Flow Created Time

  • A Test button that triggers the following behavior, depending on the channel you configured for the flow:

    1. A chat window is displayed for the chat channel. Test Chat Flow

    2. A Softphone dialer pad is displayed for the voice channel. Test Voice Flow

  • The Error status button displays the number of errors found within your flow. Click this button to view the errors.

The Index Panel

The index panel consists of all the nodes you can add on the canvas to build the flow. The search bar on the index panel allows you to search for a node. Learn more.

The nodes panel groups the nodes into categories for easy identification.

The Mini Map

The Mini Map allows you to visualize the canvas area you're working on. It is beneficial for managing large flows. Mini Map

Saving Flow Changes

All changes are automatically saved to your Flow.
